Dr. David Jamael
Veterinarian

Dr. Jamael was born and raised in Fredericton, NB and joined the team at Douglas Animal Hospital in June of 2019. He obtained a bachelor of science degree at the University of New Brunswick before moving on to the Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island. Prior to moving to PEI, he was an active member for the Fredericton community, coaching youth soccer for Fredericton High School and the Fredericton & District Soccer Association. He also spent time volunteering at nursing homes with his St. John Ambulance therapy dog named Abby and at several of the local veterinary hospitals. David loves all aspects of veterinary work, but has special interests in integrative medicine, cardiology and dermatology.

David is currently owned by his two dogs, Abby, a Great Pyrenees, and his newest addition Olive, a black Lab. He also spends his time keeping up with his young daughter Naomi. In his free time he enjoys golfing, soccer, playing guitar and the outdoors.
